friends

i'm gonna dedicate this post to my friends: you know who you are.

i'm not sure where to start i but i know where i want to end, so here goes.
i've been blessed with so many good friends. friends that don't just know about you, but know you.
friends that just come round to hang and don't have to be entertained, friends that make you smile and laugh just by their natural selves. friends that have been there, done that and made it out the other side. friends that have supported and prayed, defended, protected, sheltered, when things have been rough.
friends who know your phone number off by heart, who don't need a reason to pop round, who invite you to share their life with them.
who know you almost as well as you know yourself, and still decide to stick around.
friends who let you drive their car - and drive considerable distances just to see ya.
even after you haven't seen them for a while, you can kick it off again just like old times.
friends who leave the front door open. friends who have nothing and still share it with ya.
friends who bake a cake, and its not even your birthday.
friends who forget your birthday and don't bring a present, but come to your party anyway, cause being there makes your day.
friends who give you a hug, and say 'i love you bro' and once again everything looks brighter
friends who take an interest in something you like, just because you like it.
friends who look after you when you are sick, feed you when you're hungry.
friends to tell you what you need to hear, even when you don't want to hear it, but with humilty and respect.
friends who offer their experience as a lesson to protect you.
friends who serve.
friends who name jesus as a friend also.
