late nights and heavy breathing

sorry bout the late notice, but in terms of suprises i think i really have outdone myself?
so first things first, i'm outta hospital, resting and feeling pretty good, but just have to take it easy for the next little while. so i guess ya'll wanna know what happened?
this is what went down.
i had surgery to repair a ''diaphragmatic hernia', now don't ask me how that happened, but the consensus seems to be that it was related to my car accident or falling off the roof before christmas. but anyway, if it had been in there for that long i certainly didn't notice and had been going about my daily business with no problems relating to my car accident.

so i was working last thursday, and had just stopped for lunch when i got sharp abdomenal pains with lasted about 20mins and then vanished as fast as they had came, so i knocked off early, and was driving round my boys from boys group, delivering rosters for the first term when the pains came back and throughout the afternoon moved progressively higher through my chest unto they reached my shoulder. it wasn't to bad when i stood up straight 'as anyone who talked to me would bear witness', but soon became painful to sit in my car, so once i had finished that i headed to macphersons, and they decided i needed to head to middlemoore, as i might have had a relapse. by this time, i was finding it quite difficult to breathe, and really getting a bit anxious, so it wasn't very pleasant at all.
i had more relief being in the care of middlemoore, but my pain was increasing and my breathing wasn't much better. i must have been in some state, cause morphine didn't do much to dilute the pain on the first instances, my memories getting a little shaky about those events, but it was easily the most pain i can remember experiencing.
i learned of the need for surgery, sometime early friday morning, which again was a welcome relief that the problem was diagnosed and a solution reached.
so late sat/early sun i had laparoscopic mesh repair surgery, and have been healing rapidly ever since.

Thanks be to God who gave me the strenght to make it through, and especially to andrew and helen for staying with me on thursday night. and everybody else who came in to visit and encourage. thank you!
so yeah, i'm all good and will be working my way back to full fitness somewhere near you shortly.

take care,

carl.

So how come you always get all the excitement!!! Good to hear you're out and feeling better. Take it easy this time! I think 1 lot of laparoscopic mesh repair surgery is enough for this year.

Heck Silla - lets not put Carl on a road to anywhere - you don't know what might happen.
